Doo-n-go™ scoop bags are 100% oxo-biodegradable. Oxo-biodegradation means that oxygen is the catalyst which initiates the degradation process. Once degradation is started, it will not stop until the process is 100% completed. In another word, degradation will carry on and on before and after it is buried in the landfill until the bag is totally degraded.

HOW IT WORKS

• The unique properties of plastics arise because of the weight of the molecules which are held together by chemical (covalent) bonds between the atoms.
• Degradation is the result of lowered molecular weight due to breakage of carbon bonds in each molecule and a loss of mechanical properties.
• Oxygen initiates the degradation. And other factors such as ultraviolet light, heat and film stress accelerate the process.
